This page explains how Marr Advisory handles personal information collected through marradvisory.com.au, the booking form and Small Biz Sheets.

What I collect

• Contact details you send me (name, email, phone, company, role)
• Booking details via Cal.com on /book (name, email, company, role, topic, preferred time)
• If you buy Small Biz Sheets: your name, business name, email address and purchase details (what you bought, when, and your Stripe customer and subscription references)
• If you sign in to the members page: your email address, plus a record of which templates you download each month
• Basic technical logs from hosting (e.g. IP address, browser) that Netlify may process to run the site

Why I collect it

• To respond to enquiries and run discovery calls
• To prepare proposals and deliver paid work if we engage
• To deliver what you bought, let you sign in and download again, and manage your subscription
• To keep basic business records (invoices, correspondence)

Who else sees it

• Stripe: payments and subscriptions
• Cal.com: scheduling and booking form
• Google: calendar / Meet for booked calls (while calendar is connected)
• Netlify: website hosting, and storage for the purchase and download records described below
• Email host (VentraIP / Axigen): phillip.marr@marradvisory.com.au, and the sign-in and receipt emails sent from it

I don’t sell personal information. I only share it where needed to provide the service, or where the law requires it.

Buying Small Biz Sheets

Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page. Stripe collects and processes your card details. I never see or store your card number. From Stripe I receive your name, your business name (the box you fill in at checkout), your email address and the details of the purchase. Stripe’s own handling of your information is covered by its privacy policy.

The business name you enter is stamped into the templates you download, as a licence line (for example “Licensed to Your Business (you@example.com), single-business licence”). It is visible to anyone who has the file, so enter a name you’re happy to have there.

Members sign-in and downloads

• Sign-in by email link. There are no passwords. You enter your email and, if it matches a purchase, I send a sign-in link. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. I keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it until it expires, and a short-lived record to limit repeat requests.
• Session cookie. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 7 days. It is strictly necessary for the members page to work, it is not used for tracking or advertising, and it is removed when you sign out or it expires.
• Download records. The Template Library has a monthly download limit, so I keep a record of which templates your email has downloaded each month. This is used only to apply the limit and to show you what you’ve already downloaded.
• Purchase records. I keep your email, business name and the Stripe references for your purchase so you can sign in and download again.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

The Template Library subscription is managed through Stripe’s customer portal. From the members page you can open the portal to update your payment method, view invoices or cancel. Those details are held by Stripe, not by me.

Visit counting (no cookies)

To see which pages are used, the site counts page views with a small script of my own. There are no cookies, no third-party analytics and no tracking across other sites. Each view records only the page, the day, the name in a ?ref= tag if the link you followed had one, and the name of the website you came from. It does not store your IP address, browser details or any ID, so I can’t tell who you are and I can’t count unique visitors. Nothing is recorded if your browser sends “Do Not Track”. I also keep a plain count of how many times the free sample is downloaded. These counts are stored in my Netlify account. They are separate from the hosting logs mentioned above.

How long I keep it

• Enquiry and booking details: while useful for follow-up, then deleted or archived with normal business records.
• Purchase and invoice records: kept for as long as needed to run your access and to meet tax and record-keeping obligations (generally up to 7 years). Stripe keeps its own records under its own policy.
• Members download records: kept while you have access, then deleted when I no longer need them or when you ask.
• Sign-in links: expire after 15 minutes. Session cookie: 7 days.
• Visit counts: kept as plain totals with no personal information.

Your rights: access and correction

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you and ask me to correct it if it’s wrong or out of date. You can also ask me to delete it, or opt out of further contact, except where I have to keep records by law. Email phillip.marr@marradvisory.com.au. I’ll reply within 30 days. To protect your information I may need to confirm you’re the account holder first. If you’re not happy with my response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Overseas storage

Some providers (Stripe, Cal.com, Google, Netlify) may store or process data outside Australia. By using the site, booking form or checkout, you understand that may occur.
